why in some country's would people kill a girl child?

it makes me so sad thinking that some people would love to have any child at all.

This is done in some countrys like China where they are only allowed one child. They do this because it is more of a status to have a male. Men are seen as the ones that make money.

Plainly put: the culture values men more than women. This is definitely happening in China where there are millions more men than women. I wonder what will happen down the road when there are no more women to give birth to male children?

i think it's because guys carry the family name. these countries probs believe that men should work and women stay at home, so women are seen as weak and unimportant. i think.

They would have to be totally consumed by evil, if that's true. Probably Muslims, because they're routinely into killing and they also oppress women.
