Jon Brower Minnoch (1941 - 1983) estimated to be over 1400 lbs in 1979, at which point it took 13 people just to roll him over in bed. Minnoch, like many of the heaviest people, suffered from massive edema: his weight was augmented by at least 900 lbs of fluid at its peak. The former taxi driver had always been unusually heavy, reaching 400 lbs in 1963, 700 lbs in 1966, and 975 lbs in 1976, but he claimed to have been in no way handicapped by his size until a 500-calorie diet sapped his muscle strength and left him at the brink of death. Subsequent hospitalization brought him down to 476 lbs in 1981, mostly through the loss of 12 to 14 pounds of fluid per week. He was readmitted later that year after regaining 200 lbs in seven days. Although physicians at University Hospital in Seattle persisted in treating him with a 1,200-calorie diet, he weighed about 800 lbs at the time of his death. Other details of his physical condition were withheld from the press. Minnoch was the father of two children by his 110-lb wife, Jeannette.

Yes they do and some times I think the way you do because of all the things that are done in the name of progress. Politics and Politicians are what is wrong with the world today not the people, people are just the tools that are use to destroy every thing that is good. Mind you that the French, Portuguese and British and the Spanyard of long ago set out to discover the world and in turn they killed to take over the lands and goods that they wanted, killing the Aztecs Indians, the American Indians, Africans and the Hawaiians just to name a few. Today it is the Middle East Conflicts that the Caucasians or Americans that are controlling the destruction of another place and it's people in the name of security, right.... As for God being a good God, then why is he letting all the bad things happen to all the world? it is not his doing it is our doing, we are the one who allow those in power to use us to destroy every thing and every one in the name of progress. And yes God will destroy the world when he has had enough of seeing us suffer from those who will hurt us. We are suppose to protect those we love and those who need our protection, that includes the land and it's resources, but we as a whole has failed as it's protectors not God, he has given us every thing we need to be a perfect loving society, but we don't know how to use what we have been given. our brains and our hearts, all we use is our mouths nothing else.
