Unfortunately, the modeling industry seems to foster this type of body and a lot of women stoop to having an eating disorder to achieve it. BUT there are some women that are naturally thin (obviously not as thin as in the picture) and it's wrong to discriminate against them. It's impossible to enforce a "ban" based on BMI. A personal trainer once told me that it's not unheard for someone to have a BMI around 16 and be healthy. It's terrible and sad that some women have an eating disorder, but it's wrong to assume that every skinny woman or model we see has one.

Yes, they should. I can not for the life of me understand why designers would want a model without sufficient weight on her to properly fill out their clothing. When it is just hanging on some poor bony thing it all looks like rags to me. I also think enough models have died, and enough others have given themselves permanent damage.

Yes. They are a bad influence and sending the wrong message to teenage girls. I think all the big shots at the modeling agency's need to be fired or the models should make them starve to see how weak the models themselves feel.

I think all models of all sizes should walk down that cat walk, wearing same or similar fashioned clothes to show how we all can look as good in cloth cut to our very differing shapes and sizes.
carry on getting younger n thinner , theyll be chucking a feotus down the cat walk.

No. The models choose this lifestyle and are doing what they want to do. No-one has a gun to their head.

If women hate these models so much, then why don't they boycott the designers who use them?

It makes the clothes kinda look bad too cause you see these skinny girls wearing them and idk its kinda like everyone who is not super duper skinny would look good in them idk. I think its really gross and there has been quite a few models who have died like the twins one died 5 mos ago and the other just died, so yeppers they should

No. Models are just models. They 'model' for clothes and fashion designs. They should not be looked as 'role-models' for anyone.
