No I do not think all the knowledge in the world is contained in a book. If it was there are numerous books, but for the most part they are poorly written by people who have nothing else to do, but spew thier utterings of useless knowlege. Real skills are learned by time and experience and some things can not be gained by books alone. You would not expect a doctor to do sugery on you if that doctor never had someone to show him how to physically mend a person's wound. You could read about surgery in a book, but would you ever try to perform one on yourself if you never picked up a scalple before? I think not.

Probably all the knowledge is in books, although throughout the ages stupid people have destroyed and burned books, so some of it may have been lost.
Comparing - a clever man knows a lot, but a wise man knows where to look for anything he needs to know. Good, eh?!
