save ya money as it could really worry you if one day you dont manage to hear baby's heart beat as they are in a funny position, leave it to the midwife, you wont need one in a few weeks as you will be able to feel baby kick.

I am 13 weeks and my doctor decided to just send me for an ultrasound because the baby is still pretty small and he isn't very good at finding heartbeats with the doppler, i wouldn't worry if your only 8.5 weeks. usually they don't even try using a doppler till about 12 weeks.

If you're set on getting one of these, Babies R Us carries them.
However, at your stage of pregnancy, I wouldn't recommend trying out a home doppler. If they are going to let you listen to the baby's heartbeat at all, it's generally not going to be until you are much further along (in the third trimester!). I've heard many stories of women who couldn't find the baby's heartbeat and went into a panic thinking their babies had passed away only to find out that the home dopplers just aren't as sensative as those that are in the doctor's office. Personally, as much as I would love to be able to hear my unborn baby's heartbeat as often as possible (especially after having a miscarriage last year), I wouldn't waste our money on one of these.

Try ebay, saw one for 50 dollars,I got one for free at my doctor, but you won´t hear something everytime. Depends on the position of your baby too...

Mothercare, Ebay, but don't expect to hear one just yet. By the way, it increases paranoia tenfold!
