The spelling of Happyness was definitely intended but I think the misspelling of Pursuit is all your own work.

And yes, I did use spellcheck before posting this!

It was the misspelled name of the son's daycare. Will Smith's character refers to it several times during the movie, one of which was right before he and his son share their nicknames and the meanings of those nicknames. Also, the name is painted on the front window of the daycare and can be clearly seen at times.

Yes it was, I watched and interview with the writer and he said that it was. The reason, I am sorry but I forgot, I bet that if you look it up on google you will find out.
