I'm just confused the difference between in the street and on the street. Or there is no difference?
If there is, how I can use them correctly?

Hmmm.......When it's phrased that way...No difference really. To be IN it would insinuate that you are actually standing in the middle, between the sides of the road somewhere. Though I do believe most would actually say, "He was standing IN the street" inferring someone was standing in the middle of the road. At least that's what I would picture. Now if someone was standing ON or At the corner of the street, I would change the usage around. You wouldn't say he was standing IN the corner of the street. Hope that made some sense.

Hey I don't know but I did want to say that this question is good and I will ponder it.
