I have been perfectly operating within a network of about 12 computers. I now need to provide internet service to a friend whose house is just about 170 meters away from my office. What is the ideal way to achieve this because i learnt that the moderate distance for a networked computer should be within 100 meters. I look forward to some quick answers please.

Well there are a few solutions. The first and cheapest would be to try the newest Wireless N. Its speed is around 200m. Another is you could use fiber optic, more expensive but much more reliable. It all depends on cost and your knowledge of networking.

You'll have to install an additional power sullpy to the network line to overcome the power drop.
