From other's replies to this question it's obvious that quite a few are woefully undereducated about what crossdressing is, and most importantly what it ISN'T. 90% of all crossdressers are totally heterosexual and have no desire at all to have any relations with a same-sex partner. Estimates are that 10% of the male population crossdress to some extent on a regular basis so we're talking about a large number of people here.
The root causes of crossdressing are basically unknown to medical professionals to date and since it isn't a physical danger to the participant or those around him, it's a low priority subject for any type of meaningful research. There are theories as to what might be the cause(s), but those are just that - THEORIES - and most of them are merely opinions and have no scientific basis. However, there are a couple of these theories which do seem to take what's known (scientifically) into consideration. Without going into details one of these is that of the 'hormone wash' theory which happens near the end of the first trimester of pregnancy, and the other is a more recent confirmation of what has been described as 'stuttering genes'. None of these, or any other of the abundant theories, are things that one volunteers for. In simple terms they are things that are passed along to the child by his/her parents, so he/she has no choice in the matter.
In answer to the asker's question, if your wife already seems to be "cool" about it, then you have a good chance of acquiring her tolerance or approval concerning your being 'more into it' than she might think. Most crossdressers are keenly aware of the fact that it's not going to go away, nor are the urges and need to give physical expression to the emotions felt from within. Most have also researched the subject over long periods of time and are reasonably educated about it so they have the necessary information to pass along to their wives or girlfriends. Communication is the key and it is very important to KEEP communicating and discussing any issues which come up and need to be resolved. So in conclusion, my answer to your question would be yes, you should tell her.

If she already knows and is OK with it, then you are on your way. Most women do not like the idea of their husbands crossdressing and it has been the crux of many a fight and divorce.
So who do crossdress, do so in total secrecy. Is this right or wrong? Who really knows, that is the subject of much debate.
But in your case, since she knows, then ease her into it a bit more, a little at a time then you will have a home run.

Let her know that you are really into this. If she's cool with you dressing up once in a while, why would more frequently be a problem? If you both wear the same size clothes, she might just appreciate having a closet full of womens clothes! Better you tell her than run into her in the womens department of the store.

Don't listen to all the haters, its mainly ignorance speaking. If thats what you enjoy don't let anyone change you..relationships are built on trust and communication and you need to tell you wife instead of bottling it up inside, if she does not accept it then you are better without her anyway because she does not truly love you.
