Try this link for this Acer PC, you can look anywhere and you wont find a better pc for the money. Given the specification and speed, and ive been looking constantly for the last 5 months.

Or if you have a little more.

But remember if your planning on using your Canadian notebook in the UK you could run the risk of blowing the capacitors on your motherboard due to a different frequency in the UK and all youll end up with is a very expensive door wedge. Thats something worth considering, a travel plug wont be good enough it really needs to be 240v compatible.

i wouldnt touch a HP, TIME, MESH or EVESHAM with a ten foot pole most in my opinion are commercially overpriced. DELL are realitively well built machinces but there prices are inflated , and the reality is they are not as cheap as people seem to think given the actual machine specifications.

I hope this helps

I have been using my HP laptop( Compaq nx6110) for nearly one and a half year...I personally like it very much. I got the Centrino mobile Technology one. Had a Toshiba Pentium 4 before but i find this one better and faster. I would recommend you going for a the latest one. I really dont know the new models. But yes have a look at the HP website and decide.
