well...i dunno wen u get points for an answer theres a weird sense of satisfaction in you!

You can't do anything with them.
The points just get you to another 'level' in yahoo answers where you can answer more questions in a given time period and other actions; click on your "points" and that link will take you to a chart to explain this more clearly.
Basically, the goal is to get to the 7th Level which begins at 25,000 points, which essentially is showing the world that you are spending far too much time at this site and in front of your computer.
You can learn some things here, but to answer your question, nothing is done with the points, you can't trade them in like airline miles.
