No. Mistakes give way to improvement. Pain/losses/crisis, give us mental strength, smartness, knowledge and so on - when you first ***** your hand as a child, it aches like nuts. but that same ***** the next time seems like nothing. And prepares you mentally for more pain.
Without mistakes, you will never know what you lack in. Without crisis, pain and what not, there is no difference between us and a new born baby that knows nothing and is always dependent on others.

Possibly if you live in a shell...in the real world, if you avoid crises, hurts, & losses while traveling on the journey of life, you're just lucky...but I believe growing is possible, according to the person, no matter what the circumstance.

It depends on what kind of growth one is out for? I think that we do not and should not choose these things, but sometimes these things have a tendency to choose others more then we would sometimes prefer. I hope that makes sense.
