The Exorcist was freaky. I actually like 'The Hills have eyes' too and 'Silent Hill'. However 'The Shining' wa the best.

Actually, "The Exorcist" was truly scary for me.......I am a pretty devout Catholic, and just the thought of this sort of thing happening, and the way that the priests dealt with it.......still scares me.. However, satanic possession is not a common thing, really.........which brings me to "Jaws". To this day, I still refuse to go into the water when I am at the shore. That is the scariest movie for me.

Hitchcock's "Psychosis", (1950). With Anthony Perkins.
Not the unfotunated remakes or 'to be continued' afterwards.
The best sequence, she goes downstairs and as the lamp oscillates she discovers...

I would have to say the original Night Of The Living Dead (black and white version) Either That or Wrong Turn. I don't scare easily,but they both had me on the edge of my seat.

I loved The Ring and Hide and Seek. Loved the alternate endings on Hide and Seek.
