hey all kind of new to this but looking for some male opinions on the old tried and tested skinny/curvy debate

to make it clear really i lack confidence, i spent too long with someone who was body image obsessed which lead to an unhealthy infatuation with my own body image, never thin enough etc. Now i thought i was happy being curvy again but it seems every man i meet is only interested in thin girls?!
im due to meet someone i have been talking to for some time now and i guess im just really nervous, he's seen my pictures and ive told him im not a skinny girl but you know what its like (or maybe not lol) nerves they get you everytime!!!!
any opinions or advise from men is very appreciated.

Hopefully I will be able to give you a unbiased answer since I'm gay - but almost all my friends are straight males.

You didn't mention your age (or more importantly, the age of the guy) but that seems to be a big factor. Younger guys for the most part seem to be a little more focused on "thin" than guys a little older (say late 20's on up). The little older guys seem to like curves, and the younger guys want skinny. There are exceptions - I have a 22 Y/O friend who is rail thin himself but really likes bigger than average girls.

By the way - what about what you like? Although attraction is important, body and beauty will fade. With this in mind, be sure to keep the less shallow guys that know this and like you for who you are on that list of likes!

Bottom line, if you are (or get) fit and have a good attitude about yourself you will do fine. (Sorry for the long answer)

Skinny girls are generally considered more attractive up to a certain point where it starts to look bad. Take Paris Hilton for example, too skinny. You want a tight body not a skinny one. It's kinda like the tightness that we are looking for i.e. little or no flab.

I prefer girls with strong curves more. It generaly means they have tighter skin and they are generally healthier.

From the looks of things, you look fine. Guys tend to take a fancy in confident girls as opposed to shy girls. Take more confidence in yourself and no matter whether you have the curves or not, he will stay with you.

it depends, the white media wants u to be like paris hilton, the black media wants u to be like beyonce, i am black and i am very skinny i used to have so many problems with it among my race, because i was suppose to be 'thick' i couldnt help being skinny though, i used to hate being so skinny i was so insecure and because i was so insecure it showed, i felt as if black guys never liked me and etc. but when i started getting some confidence it showed. if u dont care then others wont care. i started liking the way god made me and when i started liking myself others did too including those black guys lol. i have a lot of confidence and now guys of every race want me, black guys hate that i date a white boy, they say things like man u are too fine to be dating him.

now that i am older i am skinny with curves, u should want to have curves, we are meant to have curves, hips are for giving birth. i have a butt and hips and guys like that not matter what race, but there are some guys who like rail thin girls.

i have met guys who only wanna date white girls or only girls with blonde hair, but that doesnt make me less confident or make me feel like something is wrong with me. men have different taste, you need to feel good about yourself and like what god gave u. u will find a man who loves more cushion for the pushin!!!!!
