ok in my ELA (english language arts) class i have stems and i can't find them anywhere on the internet im in the 8th grade and i need help with these four stems

cata- is movement downwards; figurateively, wrong or inferior. It comes from the Greek kata- which means down.

magn-, think about this one: magnify - to make larger, Magna Carta - the great Charter. Magnus in latin means large great, it derives from this. (so it means large or great)

I can't say I know of a suffix of "-cede", are you sure its not -cide which would be killing or murder (suicide, genocide)

"-celer": celerime in latin means most quickly, so I would assume it means quickly, or with speed. "-cele" and other variations can also mean swelling, but I doubt you'd get that in your English homework
