Well, if its infested, you will need to completely empty the closet of all clothing, make sure it is all laundered or professionally cleaned.

Clean the closet thoroughly. You can place moth balls in small bowls in different places around the closet. The smell isn't very nice though.

What I recommend is, if you can afford it, line the closet with cedar panels. This is a natural moth repellent. If you cannot afford to place cedar panels, then just go to the store and by a few and place them at different places inside the closet. If you think they're losing their scent, you can just sand them to get it back. Smells really nice too! Good luck.

Take everything out give a good wipe down with something like Detox Wipes, then put moth balls in this will stop them returning

Moth balls!
They also make crystals.

Easily found for around $2 at your local dollar store or drug store or walmart.

Or you could always call a pest control company.

Mothball, and bags of cedar shavings. you can buy at wall-mart. Throw away moth eaten stuff

They must be laying eggs somewhere. You have to find where they are laying them and really clean it up. They lay them in several different places. Otherwise they will keep on multiplying.
