I have set my husband's laptop up so that he can use the internet at home same time as I'm using on my PC. However, is there anyway when he is away from home that he can access the internet on his laptop? I would be most grateful for your help as usual!

connect via a mobile phone or get a pcmcia card that will do this (check your contract would allow this, t-mobile and others offer this for a fee)

Find a wireless hotspot and pay for access for a list look up http://http://www.btopenzone.co.uk

Find some mug with an open wireless connection and use that (probably illegal)

Sure you can do that, just a matter of knowing the connection settings for the outside network ( eg SSID,Wep). Head into firefox and and give it the new settings for a second connection, it will remember both. But you will have to manually switch between connections when going from home to outside and vice versa
