Hey guys, I'm a Sims 2 fanatic and just discovered websites you can download hair, clothing etc. When I've downloaded some hairstyles they arn't showing up in my game. The FAQ's say something about a mesh, but I don't know how to download this or even what it is. Any help would be great!

If you are downloading the hairstyle from the creator there should be a link to the mesh on the same page as the texture. You need the mesh and one texture for the hair to show up in the game.
A mesh is the 3D construct that the texture is wrapped around in the game.

You must get the mesh before the style will show up in your game. The hairstyle that you downloaded is only the texture and the colour. The mesh is the actual shape if you like. It's a 3D model of the style. You may also need to download meshes for some clothing as creators design their own body shapes that are not provided in the game by maxis. The link to the mesh should be on the page you downloaded the hair from. You download and extract the mesh exactly the same way you do for other stuff. Hope this helps. Oh and you can't subfolder some downloads because they won't show up in your game. Have fun.

ahh i had that same problem.. a mesh is like so the game can have something to mould to kind of..... so on the sites u download from look out for wher it says mesh n download the mesh once u have downloaded the mesh thats it u can use them

Mesh is a material with holes in it, like NFL Jerseys, NBA Jerseys, and etc.
