If the phone has a SIMM card that is good for travelers, it can work in other countries too.

It's true that they have great cell phones in Korea so you can buy one here. The best cell phone I have ever owned was a Samsung Anycall. After you buy a cell phone in Korea, be prepared to experience a country with absolutely no cell phone etiquette. If you are using public transportation Koreans will carry on loud conversations even if you're crammed right up against them. Additional answers: First, your cell phone in the States... you don't want it in Korea. Throw it away, give it away, whatever. Believe me, the phones are much better here. You don't need to mess with the one from the U.S. Second, there are cell phones with Korean and English menus. I think all of the newer ones have both. You won't have any problem with the phone.

Also if the phone is locked or not.
