I am not sure exactly how to do a Maya wrap, because I don't have one. I do have a Hotsling, an Over the Shoulder Baby Holder, and a Baby Bundler. With the Baby Bundler I could follow the directions, but with the other two I was the same as you. The entire time I tried to watch the video or try the instructions, my baby would just cry the whole time. What I finally did was got her in a position that she likes me to hold her in (chest to chest upright with her head near my shoulder), and then slipped the sling around me and figured out how to put her in that position in the sling. If you can get your hands on the newest edition of Mothering Magazine (Jan/Feb. 2007), there is a large section dedicated to babywearing. It might help you out, and plus it has other tips as well. Best of luck, and bravo for wanting to "wear" your baby instead of just putting your baby in an infant "carrier" all day.

The Maya Wrap works for many folk, yet isn't obtainable premade to in high quality condition all physique types. working example, I even have an relatively short torso and overlarge bosum and that i basically could no longer get it adjusted staggering. It additionally isn't made to in high quality condition very obese or very tall human beings, regardless of the actuality that the layout genuinely can accomodate. I basically made one based on the Maya Wrap layout, yet longer and that worked high quality.

Sounds like you need one on one help. Try to find a NINO http://www.nineinnineout.org/ meeting near you. Or, seek out an attachment parenting group in your area. The mamas there will be able to show you several ways to wear your sling. Have you googled "sling instructions"?
The babywearer.com is also a good resource. Good luck and happy babywearing!

i know what you are talking about, but im not sure how to use it either, because i have never used one before. But my guess would be to make sure that its snug and tight around them, cause you dont want your baby falling out of it now do u?
