As an American, I am concerned that we tend to invade other countries, attempting to force our way of life on them, when we need to clean up what's going on at home. Why does our government continue to do this?

One reason is that every war we have been in results in another army base being permantly placed in the country we fought in. Research it. PAy little attention to the lame answers set forth by the fox news sheep. These propaganda filled answers are childish to say the least for example we do it to protect ourselves, because they want us to help them, cause we need to stop terrorism, because of 911. All the terrorists that hijacked the planes on 911 were trained by our military and the cia. Sad but true. Our vice president told norad to stand down and do nothing. We need to look in our own backyard for the terrorists. Or continue to watch fox news and become part of the problem.
We shouldnt be in other countries spreading democracy we need to bring back democracy here in our own country. When 2/3 of a country do not want to go to war with a country that had nothing to do with 911 and the government ignores our wants we have a dictatorship. Say hello to 1939 Germany cause history is repeating its self now. As Americans we should be concerned and think out of the box ie the tv.

You have a misconception of what the government is really doing.

If you've noticed, in the years that the U.S. has been a country, the battles we have fought have always been on foreign shores. Very seldom has there been blood shed on American soil. The last invasion of this country was the War of 1812. That's a pretty good track record considering we have been through two world wars.

When the US allies with other nations, that benefits the security of this country in the long run. When we invade another country it is due to the fact that the interests or national security of this country has been threatened by an enemy nation, or is in the process of being threatened. To do a pre-emptive strike is a prudent and wise move to make. You always want to keep your enemies on the run, instead of the other way around.

The liberties and the safety that you enjoy today is due to those policies. You have not experienced war in your backyard yet, but given the relaxation or elimination of our current policies, you will most certainly get a taste before too long. Count your blessings and appreciate what you have.

I know the war in Iraq is a sore subject for most, but I can see why we are there. This is a country were terrorism is its core and we got a small example of that on 911. Do we want those countries making it a habit of coming over here and terrorising this country? I believe that the President is right in that we need to go to the source of the problem before it comes to us. I however do believe it could have been handled a little differently. Remember also that we are put on this earth to help each other and not only think of ourselves.

Other countries like Israel, China, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Chile, for example, butt into our affairs, too. That's been going on since there were countries. An example is China's $600,000 campaign contribution to the Dems which coincided with the Clinton Administration's authorization to transfer ICBM technology to China.

I wish we could stay out of this game, too, but look how differently WWII would have left the world had we remained isolationist.

Because they beg us for it. There is always some podunk piece of crap country begging us for aid and acting like it's owed to them. When the U.S. gives we then get retarded questions like this. We also get biitching and whining about it not being enough such as "Why does Kosovo get more than the Congo".

Around the world for numerous years, many have criticized the US for not providing enough free aid to foreign countries when we give more than anyone else. Phuck you people. We liberated a country and enhanced a lot of lives. The real Iraqi's are thankful. The only ones complaining are insurgents and stupid people that have never been to Iraq.

1)We need to have a good pulse on the world to try to stop another world war. The middle east area had a lot of influence on the start of WWII.
2)We can not ignore things that threaten the security of our allies and us.
3) N Korea threatens S. Koreas and our troops that are there.
4) Iran threatens Iraq , our troops, Israel.
Unless you believe our government shoul have no allies

OK- we will do as you request: The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past and present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Noriega, Milosovich, Saddam, and the rest of those good ol' boys: We will never "interfere" again. If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere." They can pray to Allah or whomever for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. We will withdraw our troops immediately from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. We will station troops instead at our borders. Quit the U.N and use the UN building as lock-up for illegal aliens.

They have been preaching dying to u.s. long in the previous we went over there and did the wonderful element. in the event that they began doing that as quickly as we've been given there then it would be fairly a diverse challenge. no longer purely that, maximum folk of Iraqi electorate needed us there in 1991, basically like now, as quickly as we had much extra desirable help to try this. If China invaded the US i might lock and shipment.

The best I know is it began after WW2. Before then we did our best not to get involved. Then the Cold War happened and that was the US vs the Soviet Union and that was a war of proxy, or using other nations as pawns to fight the wars for us. The USSR then fell, but we continued on and since then continued this policy.

Simple enough.

The raw materials those countries have to offer. Why else would we invade Iraq, and threaten to invade Iran, and not do the same to the bast*** that we know HAS a nuclear weapon and is threatening to use it on us?

Because the bast*** with the nuclear weapon doesn't have any product that we want, that's why.
