uggs are certainly high-maintenance!
*****
To clean, we recommend using UGG® Australia Sheepskin Cleaner & Conditioner - formulated from natural products using coconut and jojoba oils.
Hand wash only - DO NOT put in washing machine.
Wet entire boot or shoe with cold water.
Apply small amount of UGG Australia Sheepskin Cleaner to a clean sponge or soft brush.
Clean entire area thoroughly and evenly.
Rinse clean in cold water.
Reshape by stuffing with paper towel.
Allow to dry naturally and slowly, DO NOT dry in direct heat or sunlight.
To ensure maximum water repellency we recommend applying our UGG® Australia Sheepskin Water and Stain Repellent.

Yes you can wear Uggs in the rain, but you should probably buy the waterproofer for them, to protect the swade. also, they make a Ugg cleaner. it's like a process and it takes a while, but it totally cleans it. hopefully this advice helps!
PS- it doesn't matter if they are fake or not.

the main thing to worry about if they are fake or not is if its real suade. If its suade, then you want to be careful and waterproof them first and to clean them, use the Ugg cleaner and follow the directions

Did you waterproof them? I would definitely make sure that you did that to protect them and use a good suede cleaner also.
Enjoy your boots, copy or otherwise! ; )

Ugh, they were fashionable about 8 yrs ago, but I thought then that they were chunky and big foot like, not cute at all.. I heard they were comfy and toasty warm.
I guess if you lose the faux rug pile trim on the top, it can be ok. It looks like you should wear them in good weather only. It will be hard to clean mud off. Or if they get dirty, toss them out.
