Your boss is a JERK!!... who doesn't go to work looking like a slapper!... his problem is that he wants to take you into the supply closet and he doesn't know how to ask. Next time... lose the panties... and put on thigh high fish nets.. go into his office and pull a Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct)... see how he likes those DAMN apples!!!!

If you work in a tattoo parlor or someplace like that then your clothes are fine. I think if you boss (who should have said in a more politically correct manor) said your clothes are inappropriate then they probably are. You dont need to dress like a librarian but what ever you are wearing isn't the right thing. I think sexy isn't appropriate for the work place unless your work place is the corner. Go watch the Today show right now they are talking about what you should and shouldnt be wearing to work! If you miss it then go to MSNBC and click the today show link I am sure they will have it on there too!!!!

Every work place is different and has different rules. If he has told you to change the way you dress, maybe it is for a good reason....possibly something has happened in the past.
You have just started in a new job, it is probably advisable to just go along with what your boss says.
You would be the first to moan if males at your work kept harrsassing you because you dress like that, so try to see it from the bosses point of view?
However if you do want to carry on wearing your sext outfit then come work for me, sounds good to me...

You're working in an office, not a massage parlor. Most offices have dress codes, but even if they don't one should dress professionally or at least less flashy. Your boss is a jerk for telling you off the way he did - that was not at all professional of him, but you still need to "follow the rules" if you want to work there. It won't kill you to change a bit, and just because it's not sexy doesn't mean it has to be boring. Get creative.

Hmm..I support for comfortable clothes for workers about being comfortable while they're working..But in the other hand maybe ur boss can be right too...Don't wear too shiny or sexy clothes. But don't wear too boring clothes too.Find the between of them.

His comments were a bit harsh but can see where his coming from. You can dress funkier than the rest of the office but not overtly sexy. Look at it this way, an excuse to do more shopping for things that might fit right in there.

Appropriate dress for work is important, especially in the corporate world. I'm sure you looked hot in your outfit, but would it be more fitting when out on the town and not so much at a place of work. Your boss may be a jerk, but he may also be right about this issue.

No. Your boss is not a jerk. The fact that you still hold that job is proof of that! And I bet you didn't wear the hooker suit for your interview!
Surely there is a dress code. Try reading it and putting together some nice, flattering outfits suitable for the work place.

If you have to ask the question you must feel he is a jerk.
But answer yourself this one, does your mode of dress fit in with what everyone else is wearing. Are you making other people feel uncomfortable.
You should read your employement manual to see what is covered in dress code and sexual harrassment.

He sounds like a jerk, but maybe u should tone it down a bit. U don't have to be boring just dress a little bit more modest.
