I heard they do but their eyelids are clear. Hence it seems they do not have eyelids.

No that's a lie.

Fish have no eyelids but their eyes are protected by an even thicker layer of slime than on the rest of their bodies.

Most fish don't have eyelids (except for sharks). Hence the popular belief that fish don't sleep. So we can't generalize and say that all fish sleep like we do. But most fish do rest.

No they don't even have clear ones. Reptiles are the animals with clear eyelids.

I dont think fish have eyelids of we know of but they could have a protective memberane.

I don't know go buy a fresh fish at the market and take it home and do your own "post mortem." Maybe you'll find out then. Then you can cook it and eat it after as a bonus.
