First of all, there are many parties in the world, which are named: The Liberal Democrat Party. Besides, I am not aware of anyone giving Iraq to Iran, or to its president.

This is Bush's war. And Bush deliberately recruited pro-Iranian Shiites before the war for positions of power in the Iraqi government. Iranian influence in the Iraqi government and Iraqi militias was to be expected.
Did you know that Iraq has a military alliance with Iran?
The Rolling Stone article is great - talks about the use of Iranian interests in the falsified WMD intelligence.
The Congressional report correctly labels the root of Iranian influence in Iraq as the affiliation of Iraqi government officials with Iran. Did Democrats create the Iraqi government?
