Absolutely. And, in fact, this idea is getting a boost by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as a way to make high schools more rigorous and relevent:

My daughter skipped her senior year of high school to start college against the advice of her counselor and is now a 19 year old senior with a 3.9 GPA.

This happened to my grandson. When you have a 4.0 and is the smartest student in high school, you get bored. Although I felt he was immature for college, he has done well. He is on his way to become a doctor. So yes, I feel if a student has the grades, give him the opportunity to go to college early and get that education over with so they can start paying taxes like the rest of us.

Yes, I finished high school at 14 and I had to wait until I was 16 to start at medical school. I think it is not fair to make students wait, because many just get tired and quit university.
To be able to go to university at that age I had to go abroad, in my country was not allowed.

Well..I don't know if they shouldn't even be ALLOWED but I don't think it's a good idea for them to go. Enjoy teenage/childhood! Going to colleges/universities is just a new world and new pressure one should just be a certain age to deal with it all...

I believe that an education should progress at whatever speed that the individual's mind can handle. So, yes, if someone younger has the ability to do the work and comprehend... I'm all for it!
