My fiance and I can't go for longer than 16 hours apart without getting depressed and listless.
How do I break this habit? Its not healthy.
I mean, I know we're going to eventually live together and then we won't HAVE to go for long without eachother, but still, I would like to be able to live independently if I had to.

I had to look up co-dependency. Okay. Turns out I'm not.
I just really can't stand being without him, and he can't either.

You need to find your own interests in life and be with your friends sometimes so that when you both come back together you both have something different and not focusing soley on each other, i wish you luck.

I know this can be very difficult for you, especially when you love somebody so much (which I'm sure you do). I say pre-occupy yourself with fun things that you enjoy doing, or do something to keep yourself busy.

It is just a phase. It won't be like this forever so I would say enjoy it for now.

you can go longer than 16 hours...evidently you haven't ... if you did you would not die so you can do it
If you love each other and want to be together, why should this time thing matter???

be cool...
