change in money?

if a product costs $100 and i give the salesperson $80 then i'm supposed to get $20 change right? but what if the salesperson does not have $20 change, then what should i do?

No, not right! But it's a nice scam if you can get away with it.

If a product costs $100 and you give them only $80, you still OWE $20. You should give them another $20.
