I have arachnaphobia...I'm terrified of spiders! When I see a spider, I freeze where I am and can barely breath.
Someday, I will try to touch a tarantula because the bigger the spider, the more I freeze. That day will be a very LONG time from now.

As strange as this may sound I have a phobia of closets...I am afraid that there is something behind the closet door that will cause me harm. It is so bad that I will not sleep in a room with a closet and if I am forced to do so I cannot get to sleep. I have to leave the light on and find myself staring at the closet door paranoid and afraid until I can no longer hold my eyelids open.

My phobia is very strange, you might even say it is stupid, but it is true. I have the fear of undressing in front of others. When I go to the Holland Aquatic Center near where I live, i have to change in a bathroom stall. I don't even like to be naked in front of animals. stupid huh?. My phobia is called dishabiliophobia. I think I know why I have this phobia, though. You see, I was sexually abused when I was younger, but now I'm with a new family. I hate changing clothes in the locker rooms, and it will be very hard to overcome this fear. I've had it like forever.Well thats my phobia.

My phobia is the dentist!
I always play the alphabet game whilst in the chair - you've gotta find a word for each letter and make it into a story. Time passes quicker when you are not concentrating on it!

What do they call for fear of heights - that's the one I have. To win over it, I avoid being at high places without proper support. With proper support, I never look down and make sure I don't tremble in anyway and tell myself am capable of doing it.

In my younger years, I had a xenophobia. I had the tendency to dislike total strangers or the unknown. Lots of people are suffering from this psychological behavior, and I think it is not very abnormal.
Fortunately, my job has changed my general outlook to total strangers and the unknown.

I have a few big fears, the biggest being death (mine or a loved one's), followed very closely by snakes. I can't swim but I sure can walk on water if there's a snake near me.

trying to conquer it and it's getting better
going on a canopy tour flying through the rainforest in costa rica helped boost my confidence, so i guess just tackling our phobias straight on helps...sometimes, that is
