yes that was the idea that Stephen King was trying to get accross. Very creepy

Kathy Bates won an Oscar for that role. Stephen King had the idea for the creepiness.

Steven King has a few really good movies but I think he couldn't have asked for a better person to play the part then Kathy Bates. She also did another of his books called Delores Clairborne not as good as the first role but definitely worht checking out.
ps she got a lot of flack for going naked in About Schmidt with Jack Nicholson.

I agree. If you liked the movie, try reading the book. Things happen a lot different and more Creepy.

i loved this movie!! and i always love kathy bates, she definitly played a perfect psycho in this movie! the next movie i saw her in after this was fried green tomatoes (also a great movie...advertised as a chick flick, but it's good for everyone)...the differences in the two characters showed how great she was at her job. If you liked the movie, read the book...the book is great as well, and as with any book to movie situation, the book is a little different...even when the movie is good, the book is still a little bit better! (same with fried green tomatoes..)

distress. it is a Stephen King movie and in accordance to his e book. She easily breaks both one in each and every of his ankles, she does no longer chop off his ft. The board and sledgehammer were used to brace his legs and help reason the wear and tear.

I heard it is out of someone that Stephen King knows. I am your number one fan and all of that. I guess that's what celebertys have to go through in real life I loved how she use to call him Mister Man!
that,and how she knew he was getting out of the room because one of the minitures was facing the wrong way. then she took a sledge hammer to his ankles.. and Yes she was creepy in the movie.

Kathy Bates, I just loved it. She takes this chopper or hammer and goes bam, bam, bam if front of Caan and he nearly wets himself.
