I think it reallly happend, no one believes in paranormal stuff, i do though, God most likely banished the nun from heaven and she is stuck on earth to haunt

Yeah, it all happened. I've known about it for years. I have 2 books on this subject. I've only read a bit of it - it freaks me out whenever I read it. Ha ha.

After the Rectory burnt down, the church next door started being haunted. I've been inside the church one really hot summer day, and it was like 30 celsius outside, but around 5 celsius inside. That was freaky! It was so cold inside, and you could feel a presence there.

If anyone lives near Essex, they should go and have a look, but go on a hot summer day to see if you experience the same temperature difference that I had. By the way, there's like a small park on the site of the Rectory. Nobody wanted to build on the site again.

Marianne writing on the walls etc. There were a variety of spirits and ghosts and poltergeists from several eras, reported to be haunting the Borley Rectory.
It was the basis of two books published in the early 60s.
The investigations were done in the late 30s by Harry Price.
There are a series of "a bit suss" photos in the books.
But nothing conclusive was ever established,is it ever?.
As unfortunately, the Rectory was mysteriously burnt down in 1939 before they could finish their work.

If you ever run out of gel, use soap!
That is all we had in the 70s for our mohawks.Cheers

Thanks for the name of Borley Rectory, it took me to loads of different links. I don't know if it really happened at Borley, but it certainly wasn't the kind of place to visit for a weekend break away from stress ! I love reading stuff on the paranormal and have experienced things myself, real enough to know there is something out there. Good luck with the mohawk

Yeah, Borley Rectory. Heard it all before, like 25 years ago. What does your Mohawk say about being spiked up? Doesn't he/she find it uncomfortable if not painful? Are you some kind of imitator of Vlad Draco?

I've never heard of the place before, but looking at where it is and it not being too far away, I just might take a drive over there and have a nose around. During the day of course - laugh.

Wonder if the dogs will sense anything. How interesting.

Well...I suppose this is another one of those fascinating stories that will never really be qualified or disqualified! We are still in our infancy when speaking of paranormal research, and as such will probably never know, in our life time, what really happened and if any of the claims are truth. Eventually, I suppose, there will be the discovery of a mechanical mechanism that will allow us to see or understand this study. Until then, they are haunting stories that do tend to send shivers down our spines.

a monk from the monastery had eloped with a nun from the convent at Bures, this is scary in its self, but theres no reason why it could'nt be haunted, one of the reasons there are ghosts is because of a tragic event and a beheading most certainly qualifys as a tragic event. (poor monk).
