Watch southern movies (like Dukes of Hazzard) (or even some of the John Wayne westerns). Listen to Delta Burke (Steel Magnolias). If you can master a southern accent, you will be able to pass off as an American easily.

I had a teacher who once confessed he had a hard time pronouncing the "rrrrrr" sound in Spanish, which is a very common sound.

He told us he ultimately went to the restroom, turned the faucet on so that no one outside would hear him, and he repeated "rrrrr," "rrrrrrrrrrrr," "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr," "rrrrrrrrrrrrrr," until the sound finally came out the way he wanted.

It takes practise.

Don't forget to turn the water on.

Good luck.

To be honest with you, the fastest way is with immersion. You have to be around American speakers and it will catch on to you faster than anything. And also listen to any tapes or CD's that have American speakers on them.
