High teenage pregnancy rate, high levels of poverty, gun crime, gang violence and ridiculously high property prices all combined into one place.

If the statistics you quoted are true, then yes, it does demonstrate that there is a problem. What you must realise though, is that you can't take one troubled London borough and use that as the standard for the rest of the UK. There are regions in every country that have their problems, we are certainly not alone in this. It does make for grim reading if you can believe what the tabloids write, but what about the other side? You don't read about the teenagers who don't get pregnant or take drugs. You don't read about the young people who work hard at College or Uni' and go on to make something of their lives. Why? because that doesn't sell papers. It's not all doom and gloom you know, there are good people everywhere you go and not all teenagers are thugs. The UK is a nice place to live.

stevenage hertfordshire used 2 have this label.
Sure Start was invented 2 combat societies ills.
it worked there, might work in islington but didn't work up north in tee-side & was abandoned b4 it even got started.
friends of ours actually moved away from Islington,
they felt unwelcome, unwanted & unable 2 cope with the new rules/community guidelines 2 aid understanding between different cultures, they had 2 leave the home that they loved.
they could have told the Establishment this was coming,
BUT would they have listened?

I believe that you have just summed up the case for the prosecution. Sentence - remove the said area from the map using a controlled neutron detonation (leaving all buildings intact).
Job done.

Yes, I'd agree. It's so bad, they've had to create a website to convince us otherwise. http://www.islington.gov.uk/democracy/html/documents/getdoc_ext.asp?DocID=8755
