The age kids walk varies. my oldest was walking when she was 8 months but my youngest didn't walk untill she was almost 14 months old. (new years day! guess it was her resalution). but if you are concerned about it then you should ask your peditirition.

Some babies start walking from 11th month and some by 18 months, it all varies from baby to baby and its not a cause of concern, later the better in this case because early walking babies have a slim chance of bending their legs because their bones before completion of one year are still cartlage and developing into bones, even a baby starts walking in 15 months try not to encourage that too much, let it crawl ( which most babies happily do) and give your baby a Walker it will help it to learn balancing and it will Walk soon, hope you are getting your Baby checked by a Certified Pedeatrician regularly ( not for this but for general health, and all Mothers should do this), my kisses to the lovely little ANGEL.

This really depends on the child. 2 of my girls walked right at 12 months and my youngest didn't walk until 16 months. I have a friend whose daughter started walking (with no support) at 10 months. It all depends on the baby.

Every child is different. It depends how quickliy they develop.

The first stage is their ability to sit up. This indicates their spinal strength and on the average, babies will be able to do that when their 3 to 4 months old.

The second stage is crawling backwards. Why not forward? because their arms aren't strong enough to hold weight on just one arm and have not developed the ability to work their arms and legs simultanelously. This occurs about 5 months old.

The third stage is crawling forward. On the average, this occurs at about 6 to 7 months old.

The fourth stage is holding on to couches and coffee tables to walk around. They would eventually venture into letting go of what they are leaning on (I recommend a floor with plush carpets and no socks on the child's feet because they need their toes for balance). This occurs at about 8 months old.

The fifth stage is actually standing still and taking his first step and falling. Don't over react when they fall or they will take longer to take the risk again. Instead encourage him to try again. This occur at about 9 months.

By the tenth month, he will master walking and changing directions. Now, the chase is on!!

It is considered normal for a baby to start walking anywhere between 9 - 18 months.

varies from child to child.....My nieces were walking at 8 months, but my friends child didn't walk until he was 13 months. Though he went from crawling to full out walking, not the hold onto the furniture walking, walking without help in 2 days.

All babies walk when they are ready. As long as your pediatrician says nothing is wrong with baby, he or she will walk when ready.
