I thought it was only average and maybe let the Rocky franchise down somewhat

You have to be a real fan to enjoy the movie. I thought it was ok.

Rocky Balboa or Rocky VI became into incredibly captivating and saner than its predecessors, different than the 1st actual Rocky action picture. that is extremely sensible, exceedingly in recent times once you notice adult men like Holyfield scuffling with in his close to 50's.

i felt the same afterwards. for many reasons....
ONE the opponent they chose him to fight lacked charisma and made me not care for either, which goes against any of the other rockys!!
TWO: Adrian sadly being killed off was a mistake, BUT the barmaid woman was a good move and wink from Rocky.
THREE: THE SON! WHAT A JERK THEY CHOSE, little skinny thing who added nothing to the storyline except a weaker storyline!
FOUR: Rocky left it a bit too late to make it credible.
BUT LIKE ALL OF US WHO WENT TO SEE IT, WE HAD TO RIGHT!?i was too young to see the old ones at the cinema , so i have no regret anyway.

i wish everyone who thinks it would be bad would see it.. hell i'll send it to ya on messenger if you'll email me.
its a great story, the best since ROCKY 1 if not better.
the other 4 were crap because he stopped fighting with heart and fought for glory..
in 6 he fights with heart even though he knows he has no chance.
yes it was only a ending but id recommend it to anyone.

i thought it was poor but he had to do it for two reasons
1 rocky 5 was so bad it was a shame
2 he had to put an ending to the story

Rocky 5 - was abmissal - Rocky Balboa did exactly what you would expect. It could do no more, it was okay, people who wanted more....please elaborate?!? (cgi rocky? -come on people - wake up)

Completely agree - I only went cos a friend wanted to see it and we all found it boring, disappointing and a waste of our time. Had a nice meal before though, so it wasn't a total waste of an evening!
