children's initials do matter because if their initials end up spelling out something they will end up getting teased for in school. how are you going to feel when your child comes home for getting suspended for fighting for being teased cause of their names. or initials. how are you going to feel if your pre schooler or kindergardener come home crying for being teased?so yeah children's initials do matter!!!!!!!!!

It probably wont matter. People may notice at first when you announce the babies name after birth , but liek you said, once the baby is in school and all of that, then not too many people will know her middle name anyways. No one every really knew my initials, but I did notice when my cousin had her daughter that the initials spelled out EGG

Kids are cruel and can be pretty creative in figuring out ways to hurt each other. Why give them a free shot? Perhaps you could switch the A name for the H or B names. So the initials would be A.H.G or A.B.G.

Your daughter doesn't have to let anyone outside the family know her middle initial, like you said. I say, if you like the names, that's all that should matter. But if you don't want to take the chance, I'd change one of the names.

Yes, initials are important. It may make little difference to a child, but it grows more meaningful. How would you like the name Anna Sue Simpson and have to initial some document??

i really don't think this is a good idea, i'm sorry. don't forget that it's your child who's going to have to live with these initials FOR LIFE. how would you like it if your initials spelt out something horrible and your parents had knowingly done it? a name is a gift you give your child that will last a lifetime, so please try to make it as perfect as you can. i agree with the person who suggested swapping the A with the H or B name. congratulations and best wishes for your little one!

I think if you're worried about it, then don't do it. You figured it out, kids surely will. As for the people who say that no one needs to know her middle name or initial, well, a little brother or sister can let the cat out of the B.A.G., accidently or on purpose. (Sorry, but I had to do it!) My cousin's initials are TLC and I know as kids we all teased him about needing 'tender loving care'. So my advice is "When in doubt, throw it out".

How many people will know the child's middle name? Unless you plan to call the child by the first and second name it shouldn't matter.

Initials do matter - If you were a girl would you want your name to be Ashley Sarah Smith? It sounds pretty, but the initials are horrible. Kids can be mean so remember that when you name your baby.
