Try to run as much as possible and train for sprinting by going very fast over pretty short distances (50 yards or so). Sprinting is a little different from long distance running because you exert a lot of energy at once rather than conserving that energy and using it over an extended period of time. Try to put all your momentum forwards by leaning forward a bit. Keep your knees raised high and go! I would recommend trying to put on some muscle mass in your legs. Eat a lot of complex carbs like bread and pasta and do leg lifts or leg presses. That'll help.
