have set up as per book and spoken yesterday to philips support

most tv with freeview ( 90% ) of them don't allow you to send the freeview signal onto another system.

Best thing is to pay a stand-alone freeview box, therefore giving you twin turner, which allows you to record freeview whilst watching another freeview.

Hmmm, have you ever checked that many times the freeview channels are on the EXT2 channels? or if their equipped in, in simple terms verify that the channels are wisely related to suitable recording channel

i connected a scart from av1 on tv (panny viera ) to line 3 on my sony dvdr and it works fine- dont forget to set the timer on dvdr and select the correct input channel (line3 on mine)
