Well, I can't speak for other fast food chains, but at Chick-fil-A an employee would get fired for even suggesting doing something to a customer's food...no questions asked...
I believe the true answer to this question lies not in the fast food industry, but the people who work in them.
For example, you may have a high class restaurant, but have a jerk working in the back. That cuts both ways, though. You may also have a dingy little place that has the sweetest most caring people you could ever meet. It's not the chain...it's the people. Personally, the people that I work with are amazing people that would go very far out of their way to help the customer with anything they need.
You also have to take into consideration, the owner, the location, etc. If you're in a bad part of town - don't eat there. If the owner is a slob, then you will have grumpy, dissatisfied employees who will be more likely to try something like that.
I hope the in-site helped...
If anybody has had a bad experience at a Chick-fil-A store, please let me know about it. I'm terribly sorry.

Every time I go to a fast food restaurant, I ask for a diet drink, but always get regular. This is so annoying; it is a waste since I have to throw it away. Does this happen to anyone else?

i have a friend of mine who used to work in mcdonalds, if they have an arrogant customer they will try to find ways to make their food disgusting. he even told me that they dip a sundae in a toiletbowl, i dont know how they do it, but i believe they can possibly do it. they told me the moral story of being polite and avoid being arrogant towards the employees of a fastfood or restaurant.

My first job was at Taco Bell. I never spat in the food, but if someone ordered extra onions, my friend and I would put an a cup of onions in whatever it was we were making.

It happens too often to count them. Plus I can not count the number of times people have looked at me, seen a fat guy, and tried to pass off scraps, scrapings, and spoiled food thinking that fat guys couldn't tell the difference.

Once, my family and I went to a local Chick-Fil-A. I got chicken nuggets and their waffle fries. When I was halfway done with my fries, I saw a whole chunk of hair in there! It was so disgusting and we never went there since.

Me and one of my friends was at McDonalds. It was one of them when you have to make the drinks yourself. So I got my cup and I was filling it up when she said "Hey, whats that on your cup?" I looked at it and I saw a red lipstick stain. I demanded a refund and the lady I was giving orders had red lipstick on and had a sign of a smirk on her face. End of story. I'm not eating there recently. Instead I'm eating Portillo's.
