Practically all animals are on one of two engendered lists: Male or Female. But no, not all animals belong on the endangered species list. An animal on the E.S. list is in true danger of extinction if special measures aren't taken. Most animal populations are fine. In addition, there are also "protected" animals, that while not in danger of extinction, their numbers have been declining.
Over the years, there have been many success stories and a few failures: We coudn't save the carrier pigeon and some other species. Others like the bald eagle are still protected but making a nice comeback. Still others that have been protected are making such amazing comebacks they they are actually a nuisance in some area - such as the alligator and whitetail deer.

Endangered are considered only those animals that need immediate attention because their number of individuals is very low due to various factors. The animals we have at home or the farm animals are bred by humans so they do not have to be in the list of the endangered species. Although it is true that in some cases some farm animals or dogs and cats have so many different varieties of the same species that some are prefered more than the others to be bred and raised. That is when we speak of a domesticated endangered species.

No, because then the meaning of endangered would not be useless and should only be used with certain animals where that really does apply.

You mean endangered? No. There are different categories already, not just endangered and not endangered. Many breeds are becoming more scarce and various groups are monitoring these animals too.
