Well, the general idea of creating a logging in and out facility when you are using a database is to create a users table with tuples representing at the least username and password. In most cases you would want to encrypt the passwords. The login interface then becomes asking for a username and password and checking the values to see if they exist in the database. Should they exist you would allow the user to have the privileges given to them. For a website it would usually involve the establishment of a session to signify the user. For a piece of software it would likely be just giving the user access to some portion of code.

I htink you've got to be a little more detailed than that?

Does you application connect to a database or is it using data files?

In either case, you'll need to create an area to store user ids and passwords. (You may want other stuff there too like are they active or disabled, password change date, etc.)

Since you're using C++, you can use the crypt() libraries to store the password in an encrypted form.

i'd certainly index it. If something polymorphism with multidimensional arrays to assist save a understanding set into that's own stack, consistent with hazard even interior a shape. once you're coping with a huge volume of information then you definately would decide to maintain a pointer to a undeniable place interior the document while the i/o bypass is closed. purely even though you do, do no longer do somewhat-change to replace the document. talking some long *** time to attend.... words of awareness, - Hex
