Thank you all! for your feedback and advice. Positive or negative. I will take it on board. Just to let you know I am braving it out. I won't give up on myself even though they have decided I am not worth knowing. I know I truely have not done anything other than show that I was not the norm and that does not make me better than them or worse. I am just me. They are just them in a another situation I would be the norm and they would be the odd unaccepted person. I can't be responsible for how they behave or what they say. I can only be responsible for my actions and myself and even though I am being tested in the end I know I shall be a stronger person. ( and not the victim baby that someone that I was labeled by some kind person) I won't take it personal as i do not know you, and u do not know me. It was just a easy opportunity 4 u, 2 show me in a public forum how witty and clever a person can be when faced with a problem that should obviously not be taken so seriously

It's not that you are Asian, it's mostly that you are a woman and most of them are scared of you. Virtually all 18-20 year old "men" are scared of women. Most of them never quite grow out of it. I have not and it's a long time since I've seen 19.

You are more mature than them and you should take a lot of their nonsense with a "grain of salt", ie , more or less ignore it. You will find that a few will be less eager to belittle you. These will probably be the more grown-up members of the class and may also be academically more successful. Identify them and associate with them if you have to associate with any of the class.

Hi Sora. We do find occasionally that in life we are placed in a situation where the only way forward is to grit our teeth and get on with it.

If you can do this, you will make yourself stronger and, ultimately, they might come to realise how silly their own prejudices are.

just act natural. do not act uppity. why play the race card? if you are not comfortable in your skin by now how are you going to treat your new in laws when they come to visit you? you are just another person...do not depend on your sex or your skin to give you extra points. just show up on time and do the work you are cap ale of. Don't ask for favors or come off like you don't know nothing...you probably should brush up on your driving skills too
