it's entirely dependent on attitude and how that life is lived. If you believe you're a has- been by your 30s then you will project that image to others and will become like that.
If you can realise age is only one part of life the rest is about actually living it you will look back on a life well lived. Believe every decade to come is the best yet that way you will always look forward to your future no matter what your age! Every age can be your best yet!

I think you won't be happy unless we say yes. I doubt a young 20- something would ask this question, right?
I think it depends on your social context.
Here in Japan... 30's is over the hill, left on the shelf, without a family you're a loser. Young is everything.
In London, you're just a young puppy at 30.
Physiologically, women generally sexually peak at 33, and interestingly men also reach the thickest muscluar density at 33. Socially, 30 year olds are more free, wealthy and autonomous than 20 year olds. Also less socially inhibited, more experienced, confident...
Suicides are mostly at 20-23, 41-45 and 75 years +. I'd say being in your 30s sounds the best :)
I hope so anyway, I'm 29. Now if I just be sure not to be left on the shelf... haha

Its all good. I was afraid of my thirties because I misunderstood them. I saw the wisdom I thought I had in my twenties as the confusion that it always was.
Things got even better in my forties. Many things began to become even more clear.
In my 50s I learned that there is no rush, things will get done, or they won't. Its just not the big deal I always thought it was.
The important things still manage to get finished.
As I enter my 60s I now know that I still have a lot to learn, and everything is going to work out for the best.
All I need to do is have a little faith.
Love and blessings Don

Yes they are because people live longer now and delay starting families until their 30s & 40s. Also, in your 20s a person is still finding themself and thus insecure and inexperienced. In your 30s, a person knows who they are, are more confident, and thus have a much better time when they do what they do.
This is a generalization but you get the idea.

i have just turned thirty, and i suppose i wish i'd made some better choices in my twenties, but on the whole this is much better.
for the first time ever i really don't care what people think about my clothes and hair, i am settled but ambitious and mostly free.

It depends on the individual and their life experiences. I would say, personally yes. I'm 23 and I find myself getting more content and confident with age but I don't think you can put an age on when a person feels total contentment. If you asked 10 people of different ages, you would get varied answers.

As people age, they try to compensate by saying that being of this and that age is way better. Much like the saying "life starts at 40". But the truth is, every age bracket has it's own advantages and disadvantages and the best way is just to live and enjoy life no matter what age we are.

Absolutely better to be in your 30's! By then, most folks have settled in a their lives in a chosen direction, so no more "who do I want to be???" angst. Usually settled in a career, more money available, but still young enough to enjoy it!
