why are people straight?
I think it's probably the same thing, just reversed.
I mean I know I like guys, so maybe lesbians just know they like girls?
I'm not sure either, but I don't think they need "help" though...

there is no indications that a person becomes a lesbian, but simply is born that way. just as a heterosexual doesn't become that way , but simply are that way. it is believed it is part of nature, not nurture, that causes people to be same sex attracted. it has nothing to do with their past or physcology it is not a choice. most lesbians, who are adjusted to their sexuality, do not seek help, because basically there is nothing wrong with the way they function. the only type of help available, if a lesbian chooses to try and change, there are groups and organizations that they can join, to try to change their sexuality. these organizations are usually religion based, and i am leery of their success. a lot of people cant except lesbians because of their religious beliefs, which i find hard to believe, because being a lesbian, is the way you are born, and a part of nature, so why would you hate part of gods work.

I grew up not knowing there were lesbians at all, although I knew there were gay men, as it turned out, there were three lesbians in my immediate family. No one got raised any different there were no psychological stresses placed on them, but from a very young age they were more tomboy, less interested in boys and makeup. That's not true for all lesbians of course, some may try harder to 'fit in' but for ours, it was obvious they weren't into the whole 'get a guy and get married games' we played as kids. So its not because of their past, or some psychological damage. I think it just is what it is and not some big deal that needs fixing.
I have a straight sister who only dates tall blond men. I mean ONLY. She needs more help than the other girls do.

lol YES there IS a way to help lesbians and gay men. If you trully want to help us then find people like you and go to therapy to change your hatred for us. We are born into our sexuality. So the only problem I see is with people who for some reason cannot accept others for who they are and feel the need to "change" them. If you have a problem with something look inside yourself to figure out why. Don't blame others for you being a biggot.

The latest medical research indicates that people are born into their sexuality. It is not something we choose. The greatest help for lesbians, therefore, is for people to stop being afraid of what God has created and treat one another as equals.

they are born that way. no one would purposely join a group that is discriminated against all over the world. at least 10 percent of the population is born gay. that's it.
the only help lesbians need are people to accept them the way they are.
