Shapes are well, shapes from the outline of objects. I will explain some of them.
The Triangle: It is an interesting shape that goes far back to the time of the Egyptians. When the Pharaoh dies, they have built a pyramid for him. The side of a pyramid, no matter if it is a triangular or pentagonal pyramid, is a triangle.
The Square: The square is a specific shape, that if you look at one side of a die, you will see a square. If you measure it, you will see that it is a real square, and not a rectangle.
The Pentagon: The Pentagon is used in an architecture called the Pentagon, pretty simple huh. If you have the nerve and go all the way around the pentagon, you will see that it has five major sides.
The Hexagon: The hexagon could be described as a shape in the beehive. When the hexagon is not filled with honey, (or bees)
you might see that the hexagon is a hexagon.
And Fianlly, the Octagon: The octagon is known to many as a stop sign. The mystery about the shape being an Octagon is sacred, so we will try to keep it that way. Obseerve the stop sign. It has 8 sides (not counting the pole on which it stands).
That is the shapes as they are used in science and history.

You have to look at the world’s direction. In the past religion served to free man of his own savage impulses. The problem of religion it is itself enslaving. Science is the next step of human direction. We have to drop the cloak of past superstition to move intelligently toward our new frontier that is technology based. Acquiring knowledge is our next religion that is a non-religion. In the end it will not be science or religion that shape us per say. It is the continual moving toward higher existence that will determine our fate. Religion is now becoming our Achilles heel. Holding on to old ways of thinking will spoil our evolution but that to is part of our learning process.
