don't download it. It's riddled with viruses, destroying the music business, it's illegal and used by selfish oiks who don't care about others.

Well, limewire is illegal.. but w/e, i came to answer a question
Limewire is a type of program that if your firewall is on, it will continually ask it for permission, this made my computer crash horribly once, it is because it is downloading its spyware and viruses as you download songs.
In order to overcome this, you need to go to your firewall program, and temporarily turn it off, or lower its settings. I have a windows firewall, and i go to control panel to turn it off, see if your system has something similar.

if ur firewall asks for ur permission say - yes to permit and remeber answer. If ur using windows firewall got to windows firewall settings and add limewire as an exception

Make ur firewall permit limewire to download or temporarily disable it.

lower the settings on your firewall ,then download from lime wire ,torrant spy, deamonoid ect then raise the settings on the firewall
