On line trading is buying stocks via an on line broker like Scottrade, Ameritrade, Sharebuilder and many other on line brokers.

You need to set up an account with one of them. Once you do that, you can buy and sell stocks on line.

We used to go to the brokers house for doing all our stock market business. Now it is all through the computer. You log-in, get your stocks or funds into the account. Then do your buying and selling.

hi khushi, online trading means where you can buy & sale shares & you can apply for i.p.o through internet. you have to open a demat a/c,trading a/c with share brokers like anand rathi,motilal oswal,icici bank etc.
