hi. can anyone recommend (from own experience) a good permanent makeup artist in New York, whether it's in a salon or a tattoo studio? Thanx.

I just had my top eyelids done, I looked in the phone book under beauty shops and called until I found one that did permanent make up. That way I knew the people had to go to school and get certified and was responsible for my eyes! Something about tatoo parlors and eyes just didn't work for me. I don't know where you are at, I am in Watertown. I went to Micheals and it was $49.oo for top or bottom lids. Guaranteed for 4 years and they do as little or as much as you want. There are lots of colors to pick from too. I always wore black, but I picked a brownish black and she added a little cocoa color and I liked it real well. No more smudged eye liner for me! They do lip lining and eyebrows too.

i'M not sure. You could go to a studio and ask them to give you references!
