I would have to say $50,000 a year would be good, depending on where you live. =)

Here in the Philippines a clerk makes 40 pesos an hour. A farm hand makes 250 pesos a day.
A craftsman makes 70 pesos an hour.
Anyone that has a job of any kind is lucky.

When there is enough to live from,pay rent ,pay the bills,have a steady income and still be able to set aside some for emergencies etc

It depends on your and your family needs. If you want to lead a luxirious life, you should earn more money. Otherwise, can have enough money.
