This is difficult to answer there are statutes(laws made by parliement),common law(things that are excepted as wrong but not covered by Statute(includes murder),by Laws these are made locally sometimes by powers given to local authorities by statute to make laws covering things in their areas and these are very numerous.now there is also European Law.

The number of laws are constantly changing as old ones become outdated and new ones are made.

Too many to bother with, and a lot of them are nonsense nowadays - like taxi drivers are supposed to carry a bale of hay in the boot!
